Ordering Information and Store Policies

 PLEASE NOTE:

While we are pleased and proud to help steward the heritage of the fine lightweight bikes of the past, it is impossible for 100% of all orders to be handled as rapidly as we would like. Some NOS items are becoming very difficult to obtain. As vintage lightweight bicycle collectors ourselves, however, we know how it feels to be waiting for important restoration or maintenance parts - we want 'em now, too! Therefore, we will always do our utmost to get you the parts you need as quickly as possible, whatever it takes.

Additionally, in the current Geopolitical environment, International shipping has become extremely slow and expensive in some cases. We will always endeavor to get you your parts ASAP, but please have reasonable expectations in all facets of our business together.

Thank you,

Greg and the other nerds and nerdettes at Bicycle Classics.

How To Order
Our preferred method of receiving orders is via e-mail. Faxed or mailed orders are fine too, but are significantly slower in processing. We accept Mastercard, Visa, money orders, PayPal to gpvb1@comcast.net, and payment by good check. For credit card orders, be sure to include the full name of the card holder, card number, billing address, and expiration month and year.

You can even send the expiration info. in a third message if you wish. We answer all non-spam e-mails, except valuation requests! If you don't get a response from us, you must have some sort of spamblocker or other filter that needs adjusting!!!

Shipping Policy

  • In-Stock Items generally ship in 1 - 3 business days
  • Not-In-Stock Items generally ship in 7 - 10 business days
  • Most shipping is done via U.S. Postal Service. Shipping is $9.00 per order, except for oversized or Foreign orders, or other large or heavy items such as rims, wheels, frames, frame tubing, books, or bikes. Most Brooks saddles are $14.00 for Domestic shipping (ti models are just $9.00). We recommend placing orders that are $25.00 or more to make the most out of the shipping cost, but there is no minimum order amount.

This web site lists many items, some of which are not always in stock, but the vast majority of the listed products are available for purchase almost 100% of the time.

Return Policy
Within 30 days of receipt you may return any unused item in the exact condition it was received for cash/credit card refund (depending on how you paid, and shipping charges are not refundable). You may also choose store credit. No returns are permitted after 30 days.

Note that refunds on purchases will be charged a 20% restocking fee to cover the costs we incurred for the order.

Note also: If you return an item because we either shipped the wrong item or it is defective, then we will adjust the policy so that you don't pay for our blunder. Conversely, if you order the wrong part and it's your mistake, or you simply "don't like/want the item" we regret that we can't adjust the policy.

Disclaimer! Danger, Will Robinson!!!
Use all items at your own risk. Many items, including NOS unused vintage ones, are best for display only. Use of any item we sell is at the sole risk of the purchaser. If you're uncomfortable with using anything that you purchase from us for any reason, return it unused for a refund within 14 days (from time of receipt). It is the purchaser's responsibility to inspect all items regularly, even modern items, to determine whether they are safe to use or better left for display. Lightweight rims, old cranks (like me! - Ed.), tubular tires, handlebars, pedals, and stems are especially risky to use.
